Reminder 04:25
I'm missing something We can talk about it Through landscapes of the earth Where my feet will feel him Like lines up in the sky, treasure taken Passing without notice like you did the other day But we leave it hollowed with no goodbye The tree fallen sideways will nourish life I've planted seeds of sorrow when no one knows what really dies Don't get too busy Simple grievin'

Harvest 04:36
All together in line, raised to stand up straight If poise and choice turned another way Are you here? You doze too much hands are rough I don’t call enough What broke us? I think you doze too much Borrowed in advance Off to dinner We try to touch What broke us is spending too much time waiting in line while resting your eyes Show me the other side with the length of your spine I’ll be waiting outside tracing what’s left behind When cash was tight, my hands were here to deliver I would call, but something’s been taken I’m not broke The past is in motion whether my eyes are closed or open I’ll be waiting ’til we're through the white line

Break Up 03:35
Break up this mad man-made gold We are rushing As she stands still waiting to fall Without a pusher or savior who is caught in his throat Break up this mad man-made gold Where's home if you're looking to serve yourself with gold? The last thing we need is a brother in the stream too busy to say hello Break up this mad man-made gold A hug and some sun Someone to tell us where we're from

I'm Through 02:18
Everything must go Now is the time Everything must go Everything must go Now is the time Everything must go on through the night I thought in an empty house vacant as my inside carried Months ago, everything was ready Now I think about leaving Go, Now is the time Everything goes on through the night Follow that empty without things back in that city What it means when my lungs feel heavy is why I'm leaving' Go, now is the time Everything goes on through

about

I recorded in a hollowed granary and stayed creative in a barn, hammock, the pastures, and gardens

Daily nature reverberated through and all around me

At one point, my fingers were burning from hot peppers and building callouses created a challenge to play baritone ukulele. My asthma flared up and I couldn’t breathe very well towards the end, but I wasn’t there to blame other things. This residency’s purpose was to work through things and all I focused surfaced and came more to life.

I’ve been waiting for these moments. When I don’t know what to do because default no longer rushes in and choice opens up. I dropped some old habits and haven’t quite developed trust in the new ones. I didn’t go to the farm to write songs or tell a story, but wanted to share a place I was in. What I was thinking, seeing, and feeling. To let you in on what was present and quickly passing.
